Game Engineer

Three Rings, a SOMA-based independent game developer and creator of Puzzle Pirates, is currently hiring for the position of game engineer.
The company maintains a strong emphasis on engineering innovation and excellence; the successful applicant will have:

• Expert knowledge of Java, our primary platform
• Familiarity with Unix environments and SQL (mySQL)
• Knowledge of good software engineering practices and the willingness to learn
• A strong educational background, not necessarily in Software Engineering
• Game development experience or a demonstrable interest in creating games

Three Rings remains a small company. Engineers working here have the opportunity to participate in all levels of the game creation process on a wide variety of different types of games, from MMOs to Flash Facebook games.
